When it comes to archery, the most important factor for accuracy and optimal performance is the speed of the arrow. In order to best understand the performance differences between a heavy and light arrow, it is important to conduct a speed test. This article will look at the results of a heavy and light arrow speed test, and compare their performance.

Heavy Arrow Vs. Light Arrow Speed Test
In order to understand the speed differences between a heavy and light arrow, a speed test was conducted with high-quality arrows and a reliable bow. The arrows were launched at 10-yard increments, starting at 10 yards and ending at 60 yards. Both arrows were fired multiple times and the results were recorded.
Results
The results of the speed test showed that the heavy arrow had an average speed of 228 feet per second, while the light arrow had an average speed of 270 feet per second. This data means that the light arrow was 42 feet per second faster than the heavy arrow.
Analysis
It is clear from the data that the lighter arrow is faster than the heavy arrow. This is because lighter arrows are less affected by gravity and are able to maintain their speed for longer distances. Lighter arrows also have a more efficient energy transfer, which makes them faster and more efficient than heavier arrows.
The results also show that the light arrow has a faster initial speed than the heavy arrow, which is important for a bow’s accuracy and power. This is due to the fact that the lighter arrow has more energy coming out of the bow as it is fired, and thus has a greater momentum which helps it to fly faster and straighter.
Conclusion
The speed test conducted clearly showed that the light arrow was faster than the heavy arrow. The results demonstrate that the lighter arrows not only have a higher initial speed, but they also have less drag in the air, and are better able to maintain their speed for longer distances. This makes them the ideal choice for distance shooting and accuracy.
In conclusion, it is clear that light arrows have many advantages over heavy arrows when it comes to speed and accuracy. Light arrows have a higher initial velocity as well as more efficient energy transfer, which makes them more accurate and faster than heavier arrows. For these reasons, light arrows should be used for distance shooting and accuracy.
Heavy Arrow VS Light Arrow Speed Test!!
I put my PSE EVO NXT 33 to the test with a chronograph. I tested the bow’s speed with two varying arrow weights. I have a 52 lb draw weight, 28.5 inch draw length. The arrows used in the test weighed 447 grains and 369 grains.
