Thumb Release vs Wrist Release – Shooting the Right Bow Release Aid – ARCHERY TIPS
The question is, what release is better a thumb release or wrist release? Shooting the right bow release aid is imperative when it comes to archery. Since I’ve started shooting with my carter wise choice release, my groupings have increased dramatically. I would highly suggest it. Its made me shooting tighter groups. I used the wrist release for almost all of my life and it was all i knew before taking the leap into a thumb release. It definitely was a an adjustment switching to the thumb release. One thing I’m trying to do is use back tension when releasing. It’s not coming easy, to say the least.
