If you are a novice to the world of archery, thinking about what arrows to get can be a dizzying prospect. With the range of options available it can be daunting to know what arrows will be best for you. In this review, we’ll be looking into how budget vs. expensive arrows compare by examining Easton FMJ, Victory, and Gold Tip models.
Table of Contents
Easton FMJ
Easton FMJ arrows are a great option for archers on a budget. They offer a reasonably hard wearing construction and a good spine for accuracy at a fraction of the price of some of the more expensive options. The solid, uniform diameter of a FMJ arrow gives it superior accuracy and, once tuned, these arrows are great for target shooting.
Victory
Victory arrows a bit more expensive than FMJs, but still come in at a mid-price range. They are made from robust aluminum and provide good strength with excellent accuracy. Whilst they don’t offer the same level of precision as some of the higher tier arrows, you will still be able to benefit from good spine ratings and excellent durability.
Gold Tip
Gold Tip arrows are towards the top end of the price scale. They are matched spine arrows, meaning they offer even more accuracy and consistency than their budget counterparts. A Gold Tip arrow is made from superior quality materials, with a smooth finish out of the box that helps your arrows slice through the air. They also offer good weight options and come with the longest lasting durability available.
To summarise, the selection of arrows you make ultimately depends on your budget. If you are just starting out in archery, then Easton FMJs offer a cost-effective option with consistent accuracy and good durability. For those willing to invest in more expensive arrows, Victory and Gold Tip models both offer precision and superior quality aerodynamics at a premium price tag.
No matter what arrows you choose, you should always ensure you have reliable equipment you can trust. Doing your research and having the correct advice can help you make the right decisions and give you the best possible chance of being successful when shooting.
Archery Review Arrow Comparison – Budget VS Expensive Arrows | Easton FMJ, Victory, Gold Tip
The archery arrow industry is way over saturated with choices. This makes it almost impossible to choose the right arrow for you, so we’re forced to focus on prices and marketing. This leaves out the potential for saving money in such an expensive sport. So the question today is, do $35 budget arrows actually suck? Not only am I comparing store branded arrows from Cabelas, Bass Pro, Sportsman’s Warehouse, and Scheels in this arrow review, but I’m comparing them to high dollar arrows like the Easton FMJ 5mm and the Victory V1’s.
