Getting the bow set up for shooting
When Jonah purchased his Fuse Freestyle youth compound bow, he was able to get it customized to fit him perfectly. It came with adjustable sight pins and the ability to use a peep sight and kisser button. After setting up the bow the way he wanted it, Jonah was able to check it for proper draw length and draw weight to see if it was comfortable and if it was shooting correctly. Once he had done this, he could begin to get more out of the bow and shoot more consistently.
Practice makes perfect
In archery, the most efficient way to improve is through practice and shooting regularly. Jonah had been practicing with his Fuse Freestyle bow and noticed a difference in his accuracy and consistency with each session. He feels more in control with his bow and his shot execution is improving as he gets more comfortable with the equipment.
A few tips to improve shooting accuracy
Jonah has a few tips for young archers looking to improve their shot accuracy:
- Make sure you have the right equipment: Make sure your bow is properly set-up and you have the right arrow length and spine stiffness. Check the nocking point twice and make sure it is in the same spot for every arrow.
- Focus on form: Make sure you’re using good technique when shooting, such as maintaining a consistent anchor point and a steady aim. You’ll want to have a smooth and consistent draw.
- Take your time: Focus on your shot execution and make sure you’re taking your time with each arrow. It’s important to slow down and focus on your form and aim rather than rushing the shots.
Jonah has really enjoyed shooting with his Fuse Freestyle bow and is having success with hitting the targets more often. With a bit of practice and dedication, he is confident that he can reach his goals and become a better archer. With the right equipment and the determination to become a better shooter, any young archer can become a successful one.
