- String and cable: Make sure the new strings and cable are the correct size and fit for the X-Dawn™ & Cuda™ Bows.
- Serving torch: A serving torch is needed to melt the strings and cable into place. We recommend a butane torch, as it is the easiest to use and adjust.

- Serving jig: A strings and cable serving jig will make installing the new strings and cable much easier.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1) Remove the old string and cable
Using the bow press, take your X-Dawn™ & Cuda™ Bows apart. Once the bow is disassembled, remove the old string and cable. You may need to use pliers or an Allen wrench to loosen the cables from the limb pockets.
2) Install the new cable and string
Start by installing the new cable. Use a cable slide to attach the cable end to the string. Make sure the cable is properly routed through the limb pockets. Once the cable is in place, start stringing the bow. Slide the string through the cable slide and make sure the string is snug in the slide.
3) Secure the string with a serving
Heat the end of the string with the serving torch to soft form a serving. The string should not be too hot or it could damage the bow. Slowly pull the string tight and form a complete loop. Secure the serving with string wax and a serving jig.
4) Reassemble the bow
Once the string and cable are in place, reassemble the bow using the bow press. Make sure to use the correct archery limbs so the bow strings and cables are secure.
