Steps for Installing a Quiver on a Barnett Vortex
- Gather Your Supplies: In order to properly install your quiver onto the Barnett Vortex, you will need the following supplies:
- Quiver
- Flat screwdriver
- Phillips screwdriver
- 10-32 Allen wrench
- Prepare the Stock: Start by locating the two Phillips head screws that are located on the stock of the Barnett Vortex. With a Phillips screwdriver, remove these screws. Now, locate the two small Allen wrenches located underneath the stock and, using the 10-32 Allen wrench, remove these as well.
- Attach the Quiver: Now that the stock is prepared, you can attach the quiver to the Vortex. Start by taking the quiver out of the package and locating the two notches on the quiver that correspond with the two Phillips head screws that you removed from the stock. You now can place the quiver onto the Vortex and secure it in place by feeding the Phillips head screws into the two notches. Tighten the screws using the Phillips screwdriver until the quiver is securely attached.
- Attach the Rear Brackets: Once the quiver is attached, locate the two rear brackets that should be included in the package. Position each bracket so that the holes align with the two Allen wrenches that you removed from the stock prior. Secure them in place using the 10-32 Allen wrench.
- Test for Security: When you are finished with all of the steps, it is important to test for security. Before using the quiver in the field, grab the rear of the quiver and pull on it in order to test its stability. Make sure that the quiver is properly secured and that it is not coming loose from the Vortex.
Installing a quiver on a Barnett Vortex is a fairly simple task as long as you have all of the tools and materials required. If you follow the steps above, you should have no problem with the installation of your quiver. With the proper installation of your quiver, you can enjoy using your crossbow without worry of the quiver slipping or becoming unsecured.
